Witt Law's Brief History

Witt Law’s predecessor was created in 2003 with its offices originally in American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Lehi in Utah County. In 2013 the main office was moved and opened in St. George. Most of our clients for the past several years have been here in southwest Utah. Our practice focuses on personal injury, family law, criminal defense and estate planning. Marshall Witt has also completed mediation training and has been servicing as a mediator in family matters for the last couple years.

Our offices are located on the Third Floor at 491 North Bluff Street in St. George.

Marshall Witt

Marshall attended Dixie Jr. College before attending and graduating from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in international relations with an emphasis in foreign languages and a master’s degree in international relations with an emphasis in economics. Marshall graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief on the International and Comparative Law Journal.

Marshall was a partner in the firm of Duval Hansen Witt and Morley in northern Utah from 1995 until 2003. He started the predecessor of Witt Law in 2003. His practice is devoted to accidents and personal injury, criminal defense, family law, estate planning and mediation.

Sheryl Slebodnick

Sheryl has been with Witt Law for nearly 18 years as a paralegal, bookkeeper and office manager. She has an A.S. in General Science, a B.S. in Business Administration, and a Paralegal Certificate from Weber State. She previously worked for the California Medicare Part B program as a lead supervisor of the claims processing department, and she was a Medicare Hearing Officer on behalf of the federal government. Sheryl is an avid golfer and a previous member of LPGA teaching professional division. She loves camping, hiking, gardening, golf and animals.

Hannah Beck

Hannah has been with Witt Law for about three years as our front-desk legal assistant. Hannah grew up in the state of Georgia and received her B.S. degree in Public Health from Emory University. She is a certified DBT and CBT instructor and worked with the State of Utah for four years as a behavioral technician until she transitioned to working with autistic, down syndrome, and spectrum minors and adults. She has a passion for helping with public safety, the bomb squad, and SWAT and assisting them in gaining access to more funding for gear and training.

Abraham Ivie

Abe was born and raised in Las Vegas. He is an Eagle Scout and became fluent in Spanish while serving a mission for the LDS Church in Argentina. Abe is married with two young children.

Abe graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he served as President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Licensed in both Nevada and Utah, he practiced at Wood Smith Henning & Berman prior to bringing his family to St. George and joining Witt Law. His practice focuses on family law matters, including parentage, separation, divorce, custody, support, modification, enforcement, protective orders, guardianship and more.
